Most Good, Least Harm

most-good-least-harmBy Zoe Weil
Atria Books, $15.00, 224 pages

With an amazingly useful way of thinking and acting, Most Good, Least Harm is multi-faceted in its utility. It offers specific ways to do things that do more good, or at least do less harm to the planet and the population. It centers essentially on a cost-benefit analysis for how much you help or hurt the Earth, and how to apply it.

One might think that this concept is old and dated, and indeed it is not brand new – indeed, weighing out options should be common sense, but we all know that common sense is not so common. This book firmly says it never hurts to reinforce a good concept. The innovation in this book is the application of that concept and spreading a message of being socially, politically, and environmentally conscious when making decisions. Even if you don’t agree with Weil’s politics, you can still use her methods to do what you think does the most good, and the least harm.
